Ruby is of Chinese descent and grew up watching her devout Buddhist nai nai (aka grandmother) practicing Qigong every morning at 6am. During an Akashic Records reading Ruby received, she was told to start practicing Qigong. It was as she practiced that she suddenly began to receive clear messages – from spirit, from the trees, from animals. One of the messages she received was to try opening her own Akashic Records.
As she said the opening prayer, tears streamed down her face, and it felt like coming home. She received the most beautiful message that she was learning a new language…a language of feeling.
Since that moment, the Records have been a profound part of her healing journey that she now uses with clients to support theirs.
The Akashic Records is defined as an energetic or metaphysical “library” of every event, thought, and emotion that's ever occurred. Each person has their own, which is a record of your soul's entire journey including past, present, and future lives.
The word, “Akasha” is a Sanskrit word from Hinduism and Buddhism. Though there is no definitive source of origin for the Akashic Records, the modern origin is traced to the mid-1800’s when Europe and the US were introduced to Asian philosophy and religion.
Picture a journey through the heart of Marietta, Georgia, in the early 90s—a time when redlining's echoes still reverberated in the neighborhoods. In a world where interracial marriages were only legalized 30 years prior, being biracial came with its own set of challenges. Imagine navigating a community where biracial individuals comprised less than 0.2 percent, facing the sting of bullying from both black and white peers, and even adults. It was a struggle that left Liz feeling isolated, different, perhaps even like a defect.
Yet, amid this discord, dance became a sanctuary—a sacred space where she could break open, grieve, and discover a unity she couldn’t seem to find elsewhere. Fast forward to 16, and the scars of childhood led to therapy, a necessary but incomplete remedy. It took nearly 15 more years to unearth the missing pieces.
The revelation? Healing is an intricate dance of mind and body. Breathwork and movement emerged as guiding lights, and so, Liz embarked on an intensive training journey in Bali—a land of processing trauma and self-discovery. There, amid the lush landscapes and beautiful humans, she found not only the tools for healing but a profound connection between breath, movement, and the essence of being. The dance floor of life had expanded beyond imagination, and in its rhythm, Liz discovered a healing journey that resonates with every heartbeat.

She grew up with a deep awareness of health and wellness as her mother faced life-changing illness when she was young.
